Countdown 3: Edinburgh is the best place to study!

A friend of mine e-mailed me yesterday asking for more information on the best place to study in the UK. His kid are coming over here. I have no doubt that Edinburgh is the best, apart from the Oxbridge, of course. It not only that the University of Edinburgh is one of the prestigious universities in Europe, but also because of the environment here is very conducive for learning. Furthermore, the Central Mosque is also very close to the University which is one of the factors one should look on when deciding for a place to study i n Europe. The existence of a mosque signifies that there must be sizable population of Muslims there.

The local communities here are very nice and friendly. I had once been told that the Scots were snobbish which it turned out not to be true, at least not to us. I have never had any bad experience with any of them.

I really love the city, very quiet and peaceful. No wonder it has been voted as the Best City to Live in the UK 2007. We surely gonna miss Edinburgh so much. Returning back to Kuala Lumpur is just like moving from a kampong lifestyle to much more busy and buzzing atmosphere. Kuala Lumpur is like any other big city in the world, such as London though not as worse as Bangkok!

I am not sure how is the best way to advise people on the life at Edinburgh apart from saying that: If I were to come back again to UK, I would surely love to come to Edinburgh.
